I can’t believe Mother’s Day is coming up so fast! Don’t forget: Sunday, May 12th!
I have a selection of handmade Mother’s Day cards available in my Etsy shop. There are some returning favorites, some new designs, and one extra special design that I’ll tell you about at the end of this post, so please don’t leave until you read about it! (Pretty please!)
Are you addicted to hoarding decorating with mason jars? Is your Mom? Then this card is for you!

Is your Mom super stylish? My Mom is! She’s 83 years young, and still has the same amazing sense of style that I’ve always known since I was a little girl! I think I’ll send her this card:

This card is a favorite on Etsy every year, which always makes me smile! This card works for Moms, sisters, girlfriends, and even those friends of yours who don’t have children but do have cats:

I’ve always loved this card design, because there’s so much going on in this vintage image. You’ve got a sweet dog, a painter’s palette, a pansy, a carnation, a sweet poem . . .

Many people have both dogs and cats, so why not give them a card that features both?

This is another favorite, and has gone through a few variations over the years. As soon as I saw the vintage image of the cat and kittens, I knew I wanted to collage a bunch of Victorian flower illustrations around them for this card:

This is a fun card, playing off the popular typography trend, to send to someone special. It’s blank inside for your own handwritten note:

And you can’t forget the dog moms out there, right? This card usually gets “signed” by the dog:

This card is a celebration of the miracle of adoption and the families blessed by it:

Awhile back, while passing some time on Facebook, I came across a blogging friend of mine’s comment lamenting the lack of adoption-themed greeting cards. That friend was Vanessa of At The Picket Fence, and what started as her lament turned into an ongoing conversation between us, resulting in this Mother’s Day card.

The phrase, “Not flesh of my flesh, but heart of my heart,” is something she has said over the years when expressing her love for her own adopted children. It was the perfect sentiment to put on the front of a Mother’s Day card expressly for adoptive mothers. (I also made a blank, any-occasion version of this card.)

Within minutes of listing this card in my Etsy shop it was purchased by a woman who privately wrote to me about her family and the young girl they are adopting. It was such a moving story. And that’s why I do what I do. Yes, it’s fun to share funny cards, but when a card I’ve made speaks so personally to someone? That’s just priceless to me!
PS – I’m accepting Mother’s Day card orders through 11:59 PM on Tuesday, May 7th. Click on any of the pictures above to be taken to that card in my Etsy shop. Thanks so much!
