Shabby Altered Bottle Tutorial | Pet Scribbles

Come over to Deja Vue Designs to see my full tutorial (with lots of step-by-step pictures) on how to make this Shabby Altered Bottle.
Shabby Altered Bottle Tutorial - example of sanding the glass bottle

I used a recycled Trader Joe’s maple syrup bottle. Lots of waffles were consumed to empty this bottle. I couldn’t wait to give it a makeover!

This Trader Joe's maple syrup bottle is perfect to transform into a shabby style altered bottle!

In my altered bottle tutorial, I show you how to use creme wax over Chalky Finish paint to give your bottle an aged finish.

Shabby Altered Bottle Tutorial - adding colored wax gives your altered bottle an aged look.

This is a really fun DIY: it doesn’t take a lot of time, is easy to do, and the results are so very pretty!

I’d LOVE to see pictures once you’ve painted your pans and bottles, Janice! I bet the pans in particular will look lovely!

Pet Scribbles is where I share my craft tutorials, home and garden projects, and occasional stories about my cats. I can never have enough pretty craft paints to work with, and I love to make things look time-worn with distressing and aging. Gardening is my therapy!
