In reply to Fred. Great suggestion about the Carex “evergold” — I used to have a Carex “toffee twist” sedge that I adored until I stupidly didn’t keep it when we redid our landscaping. I’ll look up the Pennisetum. Thank you!

I do like these evolutionary pictures. I always have a pleasure to watch the growth, the changes … On the right corner I would add a Carex ‘evergold’ or a Pennisetum rubrum which would add color as much in summer (pennisetum & carex) as in winter ( only Carex).

In reply to Gill Heavensg. I’m unsure, because the landscapers didn’t have a plant tag with it, and couldn’t answer when I asked what type it was. (They were phenomenal as hardscapers, but not the best with actual landscaping and garden knowledge as I came to realize...)
