Always a juggling act, my front garden is the one that suffers from neglect, particularly when things get frantic in spring and summer.

Hi Laura – I’ve never been one for heather but yours is truly beautiful. As for your lack of progress in the back garden you’re lucky to have a great structure there to work with so I’d say all in good time!

Never thought of it that way — so it IS possible that this time next year I’ll be sharing something amazing. We shall see, but yes no regrets because I was busy working on our front yard gardens! (By the way — your images of the flowers in Riga, Latvia are stunning — enjoy the rest of your cruise!

Well your backyard garden gives you something to look forward to! I always know when I don’t get a project done when I think I should it’s because something better than I had planned originally comes through. AND I am always so happy I waited! Great post!

Don’t be too hard on yourself because you didn’t tackle your garden project. We all do the same – heads and hearts filled with great ideas – but then, life just sometimes gets in the way. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve been there. 🙂

I now take it one plant at a time. Before you know it – that full garden project is just about finished.
