What a pretty kitty! And this is a beautiful tribute to her. It sounds like she has been a big part of your life. 20 or 21 years is amazing for a cat! It must be all the love from you that keeps her going. xo

Sweet sweet sweet post! I'm glad you honoured Aliza the way you have. You'll never regret it!

I lost 3 pets in two years so I'm officially petless. No idea how long that will last but I'm coasting with it for now. I have a cat across the road and one that pays me a visit in the AM on my patio each morning.. how lucky am I? :)

In reply to Funky Junk Interiors. Oh Donna, I know how special your pets were to you, and I was especially in love with every and any picture of your cat Teddy. She was so stunning, and always seemed to enhance your surroundings, whether by her energy or her beauty...or sometimes both. :) I'm glad there are some smart kitties stopping by to help mend your heart during this time! How wonderful you've adopted her, and respected her needs! I love all the photos and the stories. It's so hard to believe when they get to be that old that they've been with you that long, but just like humans they stick around until they've finished their work on this earth.

My Stanley lived to be about 25, came to me with lots of issue but wasn't giving up until he was fearless and content. My formerly feral Moses was with me 12 years before she sat on my lap, and she'd come to me as a juvenile kitten; she lived to be 19. Kelly was a teenager before she sat on my lap, and both of them latched onto socialized cats and learned to trust through them.

Let us know how Aliza is doing!

My favorite is the slightly underexposed photo of Boober and Aliza facing each other on the bed.

Thank you for telling the story of your cat babies, I have recently lost my 14 year old Jake, and I’m trying to decide whether to get another kitty. Jake’s brother, Josh is acting real sad, they had been together for 13 years. I wonder if he would like a new playmate or if it would stress him out even more. These cats sure pull on your heart strings don’t they?
