About Pet Scribbles

When I was a little girl...

My first card of note was one I made for my mother (when I was a wee one) for Mother's Day. She saved it. The back says "Whole Made Cards" written in crayon. I obviously knew the importance of handmade way back then...just got the words wrong! I think that moment from my childhood was the start of Pet Scribbles. It just took me awhile to realize it.

Pet Scribbles

My handmade vintage-style cards, tags, magnets and pendants are all made by me and feature Victorian illustrations sometimes with a modern twist. I also offer unique vintage cat and dog brooches that I come across on my vintage shopping trips.

I adore Victorian imagery, vintage illustrations and ephemera, always have. I collect them, fix them up where needed, and combine them into digital collages or greeting cards. Sometimes I'll have an image staring at me for years, but just don't come up with a card idea that I love. Other times, I see an image and know instantly what the card will be. Some of my cards are serious, some are funny, some have bad puns...just like me.

Pet Scribbles celebrated 7 years in business, December 2012.
