About Us
Owner and designer Laura Kuhlmann began her company because she wanted to provide pet lovers with a unique line of greeting cards and invitations – artistic and upscale, yet fun, personal, and whimsical – different from what was currently offered in the marketplace. She designs and makes the cards herself. Many of the designs feature vintage Victorian illustrations of dogs and cats, and are enjoyed by people whether or not they own a pet.
Pet Scribbles cards are made to order in Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey, USA, and only the best cardstocks, decorative papers and embellishments are used. Wherever possible, the materials used – including the protective packaging – are acid-free, which is an important quality for anyone who loves keeping a scrapbook about their pet. We also pride ourselves on using recycled materials whenever possible, and we purchase our papers and envelopes from companies that use green technologies (such as wind, solar, and water) to run their plants.
Laura and her Chief Feline Officer (CFO!) Lulu are thrilled that Pet Scribbles has been featured in Pet Business, The Pet Elite, Pet Product News, Pet Style News, Victoriana Magazine, and Greetings Etc. magazine. Pet Scribbles turned four years old in December 2009.
After enjoying city life for many years – first in Boston, Massachusetts, then in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – Laura and her husband recently settled down in Little Egg Harbor, New Jersey. They are "owned by" two cats: a 9-year old Ragdoll girl named Lulu (the CFO mentioned above); and a 15-ish years young formerly feral kitty named Aliza-Loo Doolittle. Aliza enjoys a fulfilling retirement doing very little work (aka Doolittle).

Matisse, aka Mr. Boober... Rest In Peace
November 19, 2009
We recently had the heartbreak of saying goodbye to our special boy, who bravely battled his feline lymphoma for a lot longer than any doctors could predict. Mr. Boober never complained, and never asked for anything. He loved unconditionally and will always be our special boy, our buddy, our speed bump.
