Meaningful Christmas Ornaments DIY: Holiday Mini Trees from The Sewing Loft

Mini Christmas Tree Ornaments to Sew!

Do you sew?

I don’t. Yet. I have a sewing machine. I have lots of scrap fabric just waiting for me to practice. But I haven’t started to learn just yet. Technically, I “learned” in school during Home Ec Class way back when. I don’t think that counts because I hated Home Ec, therefore I did not retain any sewing knowledge.

I’m going to learn how to sew in 2013. This is not a resolution. This is just a statement. (Less pressure that way!) And when I’m ready to sew, I will start with my friend Heather’s blog The Sewing Loft, which is filled with easy-to-learn and easy-to-follow tutorials for sewers of all skill levels. I have pinned many of Heather’s sewing projects and am hoping 2013 is the year I finally let myself play and learn and discover the world of sewing. (Did I mention that my husband bought me a sewing machine two years ago for my birthday?)

Here’s an easy sewing tutorial from Heather just in time for the holidays! Follow her easy directions and you’ll be sewing your own forest of mini trees in no time at all. These would look so cute on a table-top Christmas tree, or attached to a Christmas present, or even a few of them together would make a lovely gift!
